Prisons Work

Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them…
(Hebrews 13:3).

The teenage son of a friend of mine is in prison on a serious charge.
Even in the best run prisons, the environment is challenging, to say the least.
But I thank God that the prison chaplain has contacted this young man and is meeting with him regularly.
He has begun to grow in his knowledge of God and his life is being transformed.
He now has forgiveness and hope.
We should pray for prison chaplains and ask God that they will share our faith
in Jesus with people in this desperate situation.  They need our help.

Question for self: What am I doing for the desperately disadvantaged?

Heavenly Father, we pray for members in Ethiopia in the many projects
they are involved with including hospital visitation, prison ministry,
literacy, peace and reconciliation and in emergency relief.
We pray for the many members from South Sudan who are refugees
there that they will be assured their true home is with you.
Give them courage and perseverance. Amen
