United in Love Prayer and Worship
‘Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love’
(Ephesians 4:2).
In the church, God brings together people from all nations and backgrounds.
No matter who we are, we stand before God on exactly the same terms,
sinners saved through the work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Together we listen to God, pray and sing his praises.
We are all called upon to attend to the unity of the church, especially in the way we treat one another.
We are called, as servants of Christ, to humility, gentleness, patience and forgiveness.
Above all we need to love each other. This is all part of our worship.
Question for thought: What am I doing to keep my church united?
Gracious Lord, we pray for the many needs in South Africa and especially
for Natal as they face many challenges including poverty, HIV/AIDS,
unemployment and crime and domestic violence.
As members reach out in their community with love and care,
may they take the opportunity to share God’s love so that men and women will know you. Amen
